Dal 1996 creiamo fonts, facciamo lettering e ci occupiamo di graphic design per i nostri clienti in Italia e non solo. La nostra ricetta mescola lunga esperienza nel settore, grande passione per il fumetto, collaborazioni fruttuose con autori e editori. Il risultato ci dà gusto!
Da tempo volevamo mettere a disposizione le nostre competenze nella creazione di fonts e l’abbiamo fatto. Il nostro store www.comicsfontstore.com mette a disposizione di grafici, autori e editori caratteri originali per creare nuove opere.
I fonts sono divisi per categorie (classic, dialogue, fantasy, horror, sci-fi, sound effect, villain) per una facile ricerca dell’utente. I fonts sono multilettera, cioè con più varianti per lettera, caratteristica che restituisce l’effetto di “artigianalità” tipico della scrittura a mano. Inoltre, i fonts sono testabili sul portale tramite un apposito spazio dove si può digitare una frase col carattere scelto per valutarne l’effetto finale.
Le licenze di acquisto si differenziano per il contesto d’uso: la licenza basic per fumetti, loghi e artwork statici destinati alla stampa o agli schermi. La licenza embedded per testi dinamici o incorporati in software e videogiochi.
Il portale è di facile lettura e navigazione, perché vogliamo comunicare con semplicità e entusiasmo un prodotto made in Italy al mercato estero: per questo i fonts hanno nomi italiani iconici, facilmente riconoscibili e memorabili: Buongiorno, Gran finale, Spaghetti bolognese, Ciao mamma… e sarà divertente di volta in volta trovare il nome giusto per il nuovo nato.
In questi anni, Studio RAM è riuscito a stabilire collaborazioni di lunga durata con grandi artisti e con le maggiori case editrici italiane e internazionali ed è stato protagonista in Italia del passaggio dal lettering manuale a quello computerizzato. Lo studio si occupa di tutte le fasi di produzione del fumetto, dall’idea creativa alla realizzazione della storia, dalla digitalizzazione della scrittura degli autori al lettering, grafica e impaginazione.
Nel tempo ci siamo trasformati per far posto ad altri progetti nel campo dell’animazione video e del settore edicola, creando nuove linee di prodotto. L’obiettivo è quello di portare il linguaggio del fumetto verso nuovi territori della comunicazione e di dare sempre il nostro contributo originale alla comunità dei professionisti del fumetto.

Our e-commerce website all dedicated to comics fonts is online! Our latest project is aimed at the Italian and international market, it’s the icing on the cake for Studio Ram, a company that has been dealing with graphic design and publishing of comics for more than 25 years.
Since 1996 we create fonts, provide lettering and graphic designs for our customers based in Italy and beyond. Our recipe mixes long experience in the industry, great passion for comics and fruitful collaborations with authors and publishers.
The result is a very flavorful blend!
For a long time, we wanted to make our expertise in creating fonts available worldwide and finally we managed to do that. Our store at www.comicsfontstore.com makes our original fonts available to graphic designers, authors and publishers to let them create their own projects.
The fonts are organized into categories (classic, dialogue, fantasy, horror, sci-fi, sound effect, villain) to facilitate the user experience. Our fonts have all multi-letter format, this means that each typeface has multiple variants to give an “artisanal”effect typical of handwriting.
In addition to that, the fonts can be tested directly on the website: a plugin allows you to write a sentence using the typeface chosen to evaluate in advance the final result.
User licences differ in context: the basic licence is intended for comics, logos and static artworks for printing or use on the screen. The embedded licence is intended for dynamic or embedded texts in software and videogames.
The website is easy to read and navigate, because we want to communicate with simplicity and enthusiasm a made in Italy product to the foreign market; this is the reason why our fonts have iconic italian names, which are easily recognizable and memorable: Buongiorno, Gran finale, Spaghetti bolognese, Ciao mamma… Time after time, it will be funny to name new fonts!
During these years, Studio Ram established longterm collaborations with famous artists and the most renowned italian and international publishing houses and in Italy it has been at the center of the revolution from manual to digital lettering.
Studio RAM deals with all aspects concerning the production of comics, from the creative original idea, to the actual realisation of the story, from the digitalisation of the author handwriting, to lettering, graphic design and layout.
Over time we have transformed to make room for other projects in the field of video animation and the newsstand secto, creating new product lines.
