RAM Hotel gallery

A space for authored comics. Bologna.

In 2006 Studio RAM opened RAM Hotel gallery: an exhibition space within the studio, conceived to bring authored comics out of bookshops and fairs, into a creative working context.nel 2016.

The opening exhibition was by Amanda Vähämäki, a Finnish cartoonist and one of the most original voices in European independent comics. A special edition box set of her drawings was produced for the occasion — the first in a series of publications that would accompany the gallery’s exhibitions over the years.

In the years that followed, RAM Hotel Gallery became a key exhibition space for international comics in Bologna, hosting leading European and Italian authors, often in collaboration with BilBOlbul, the International Comics Festival. Among the artists who showed there:

In 2026 RAM Hotel Gallery reopens. With the same intention as the beginning: to discover and support young comics and drawing authors, offering them a physical space for visibility within a professional context.
