What happens when the fantastic enters everyday life and transforms it into a dark, restless territory, full of presences and secrets? In Viaggio notturno, Vanna Vinci builds a story in four volumes u2014 La casa, La bambina, I sotterranei and Jana u2014 published by Sergio Bonelli Editore, drawing her imagination back towards gothic, mysterious and deeply intimate atmospheres.
For us at RAM, this was a particularly meaningful project, as it allowed us to work on an essential part of the book’s editorial quality: the graphic design and lettering. We handled the visual organisation of the volumes, the graphic elements, the text adaptation and the overall consistency across all four books, working to support the author’s line and atmosphere without imposing our own voice.
